Okay, I Confess....

Hi everyone! I know I have been slacking on the blog posts.... Not going to make any excuses here but just to say that work has been crazy.

And in the midst of everything, I broke the cardinal rule of my Project 10 Pan - I bought something!

Well, not just something but a couple of stuff. :o(

I know, I know - Shame on me but this is when I really thought retail therapy is essential for my mental well-being!!

*Forgive-me-pleeeaaassseeee wide eye plea*

The Faceshop Volcanic Ash Self-Heating Mask

The Faceshop Colour Nuance Intense for Cheek - Pk 104

This is how it swatched -

The Faceshop Baked Triple Colour - Gold Brown (02)

And the swatches -

I have no excuses for jumping bail on my P10P - not even the retail therapy excuse for stress should justify this. But now that I fess up, I guess I have to carry on with the rest of my P10P.

Should I or Should I Not?

My roots are growing out at this moment and I'm torn between decisions. I would love to colour my hair but that would mean damaging it and dealing with dry hair all over again.

This is the colour that I have currently decided on as a hair dye should I take the plunge:

It''s Marshmallow Brown from Liese. One more look at the colour:

What do you think of this looking on me??

NOTD - Zoya Bethany

Hi all! My eyes are threatening to close shut on me anytime this moment. But I shall and I should soldier on to blog cause I feel that in my calling!!

Haha!!

Ok, that was me trying to be goofy.... But I'm really exhausted from work and I managed to head home just a little earlier tonight to get some decent rest.

Anyhow, here's the nail colour that I'm currently wearing-

Zoya - Bethany

I know it looks like I have absolutely nothing on my nails but my photos are not doing any justice to this polish. In real-life, my nails has this really shiny, nude-beigey wash over it. It just looks so French chic and classy but yet not in the 'old' way at all!! Not to mention that this is definitely work-friendly. I'm really loving this colour. :o)

How has your work week been so far?

My Wall of Fame - The Laneige Kind!

Hi all! I'm typing this entry while having my eye mask on. Well, what's a gal got to do when she is juggling so many things all at one time? Haha! :o)

Anyhow, to cut to the chase on a totally random post..... I featured a Laneige haul in one of my earlier post and I have been wanting to try out those products since the day I laid my hands on them. The only problem - I have no room on my current vanity top to accommodate these products.

The solution??

I laid out the products on another table-top of mine and form up my own Laneige wall of fame!! Yes, it's a totally useless piece of information that you need to know but we need to share our love for all things shallow, don't we?? Haha.

Time for me to go to bed. Night to all!

My Zoyas and Orlys

Hey there!

We have heard alot about the polishes from OPI but I've recently been introduced to polishes from Zoya and Orly as well through these beauties -

Orly - Kiss the Bride

Kiss the Bride looks pale pink in the bottle and seems just the perfect colour for a French Manicure. I was told by the lady manning the stall that Orly specializes in French manicure shades. But I see a shelf loaded with Reds and Pinks of all shades in the colour palette - I really don't know how much of what she said is true.

First swipes of the polish tells me this is going to be a nail polish from hell during application. And for it to be going at SGD10 per bottle. This seems like something I'm destine to regret. Anyhow, will still need further testing to know for sure.

The Zoyas:
Top to Bottom: Angelina, Yasmeen, Bethany

I know this term is so over-used, but can I just say that these are FABULOUS!! Like F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S kinda fabulous!!

I was like a kid in a candy store when I was trying to pick out the shades. Zoya polishes have colours that are really unique instead of slight variation from each other as the the OPI collection.

*Cue - Wide eye and visible mental struggles going on while shopping for polishes*

And it was love at first swipe. Smooth, easy and consistent application. I don't what else I can ask for but I know I'm one happy woman when I got these babies. Seem like I will be venturing into the Zoya arena for a while and away from OPI! :o)

So, do you like Zoya or OPI?

What's in my Makeup Bag??

Hihi! Today is Monday and I'm having an off day. Yipee! No Monday blues for me!! :o)

I love reading blogs or Youtube videos that feature what's in their bags/ makeup bags? I think what you tote around on a daily basis really says alot about you as a person.

So what's in my makeup bag?? :o)

Ok, this is the makeup bag that I carry around with me. It's this small but roomy polka-dot clutch that I can basically stuff in everything that I need and yet not to have it bursting at the seams. Haha!

What's inside??

Hope you are not disappointed at seeing this. If you were expecting to see something that's unique and glamorous then mine is probably the wrong bag to look into.

*Oops!*

I don't work in a desk-bound job and most of the time it's really hectic. So I only carry the functional but boring stuff with me.

The Makeup Tools:

I always keep a standard set of makeup tools with me for those easy touch-ups along the day or just before going out after work.

The Essentials:

Clean & Clear Oil Control Film

The Faceshop - The Flower Concealer

Sana - Hari & Nobi Essence

Well, these are term essentials because they are that! Blotting sheets, concealer and the Hari & Nobi essence. The last item probably needs some orientation for those who are not familiar with Asian skin-care. The Hari & Nobi essence is meant for one to apply at the eye area throughout the day for constant hydration and I deem this as an essential since I work in a low humidity environment.

I featured a lipstick and blush in my makeup bag as well, but these change everyday depending on what I used for my face at the start of the day. Actually, even the powder that I used for touch-ups change on a daily basis as well depending on my foundation routine that morning. Maybe, I should share more on my favourite blushes and powder in the future??

How about you girls? What do you carry inside your makeup bag?

Products I Like Right Now

Hihi!

Due to the fact that I'm really caught up with work lately and am always rushing for time, products that I'm liking right now tends to veer towards the fact they can be fast, fuss free and effective.

So what do I like right now?

Crema Colour Nutrient Water with Thermal Protection

Since I'm sporting short hair right now, I need to blow dry everynight to ensure that my hair drys smoothly in a single direction. And with all the heat that I'm subjecting my hair to, this is an essential protection for it.

This product has a nice refreshing scent to it and really helps to conditions the ends while straightening it. My hair feels smoother after using this thermal protectant and even starts having this glistening shine that normally evades me!

Kiehl's Lip Balm

I honestly don't think this product needs any induction from me. This has always been a staple  but just much more so lately. I have been stuck inside the factory for hours at a go without any water intake. This takes a huge toll on my lips and they started becoming dry and flaky.

So Kiehl's to the rescue!

Za True White 2-way Foundation

It's a 2-way cake and looks amazing when used with my MUFE primer. BUT, it will only look amazing if I  combine both products. A major rush of time in the morning, coupled with exhaustion from the long work hours - Za 2-way Cake here I come!!

Juju Aquamoist Hyaluronic Acid Essence

It's the latest bandwagon that I have hoped on! It's the use of 100% hyaluronic acid as a moisturiser for the deep layers of your skin. A recent purchase - so not too sure about it's long term effect. But currently, it seems to moisturize my skin pretty well and imparts a radiance to it. More reviews to come for this I guess.

The other 2 products that's featured within products that I like right now would be the MUFE Primer and the NYX lipgloss in Frosted Beige. It shouldn't be much of a surprise that they are popping up in this entry since I've devoted previous entires on them inclusive of detailed reviews. They should be staying in the favourites list for a while to come.

So what products are you liking very much right now?

Project 10 Pan (3/10) - Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom Body Cream

Yeah!

I'm finally getting some momentum going right here! 3rd item to add to P10P:

Bath & Body Works Cherry Blossom Body Cream

Out of all the body lotions and cream that I've hauled from B&B, this is my favourite scent so far. No worries - I already have a backup stocked up somewhere in my over-stuffed wardrobe! Oh, it's just one of those days in a life of a beauty products junkie. Haha....

Today seems like a happy day so far. :o)

My Current Skin-care Routine

If you notice, I've never update anything within this blog on my skin-care routine cause I don't have a certain set of products that I stick to regularly. I switch between products on such a regular basis that I don't know where to start even if I'm keen to blog about it.

But my skin started to have some major breakout along the chin area - potentially due to stress since it's at the lymph nodes region. And the worse thing is - my face started having redness on my temple and cheek area coupled with an itch. I have never experienced this before even when my skin was really bad in my early teens.

*Dismay*

And I don't think any of the skin-care that I'm using currently is doing anything to help calm my the redness down. After some research and discussion with a girlfriend, I bought products from a Japanese brand - Sana.

Top: Sana Namerakahonpo Skin Lotion
Bottom: Sana Namerakahonpo Essence

I was so skeptical about this series of products working to relieve the itch on my face. But, it did it's job!! I won't go to the extent to say that these are miracle products that every girl must have. But it provides me with what I need - skin-care that does not irritate my face and calms the redness!

I guess what my girl-friend said was true - I really need to tune my skin-care products to what I need at a certain point in time and make some logical judgements on it instead of always falling for the latest additions in the market.

But seriously, I'm thankful for Sana and I think I will be sticking to this combination for the time being to let my skin take a breather from all the other potential irritants contained within my other products.
